Peradeniya Royal Botanic Gardens
The Peradeniya Royal Botanic Gardens is a stunning destination in Sri Lanka that showcases the country’s rich botanical diversity and lush landscapes. Situated just outside Kandy, it is one of the largest and most visited botanical gardens in South Asia.
How to reach
By Bus: Regular buses from Kandy to Peradeniya are available.
Location: Peradeniya, approximately 6 km from Kandy.
Size: Covers an expansive area of 147 acres.
History: Established during the British colonial period in 1821, though its roots trace back to earlier Kandyan royalty.

Orchid House
