Mihinthale
Visiting Mihinthale is a spiritual and cultural journey into the birthplace of Buddhism in Sri Lanka. Located about 12 km east of Anuradhapura, Mihinthale is a sacred mountain where Buddhism was introduced to Sri Lanka by Arahat Mahinda during the reign of King Devanampiya Tissa in the 3rd century BCE. It is now a popular pilgrimage site and a serene destination for history and nature enthusiasts.
